Personally, I have bought some bottles made of steel instead of buying plastic bottles. I have also bought some big strong bags that I take with me to the supermarket so I don't have to use their plastic bags anymore. Plastic is the only material that nature cannot breakdown and only 3% is really recycled in the US, the rest ends up in landfills and the ocean.
